❀ It’s March already!

March 3rd, 2010

*I got a feeling…ooo-ooowwhh~~~~* Yes yes, March is here! That means that I am going to Shanghai REAL soon! Another weekend is over; another competition is done; another jobless month to go! I need a job larhhh.

I am currently in London with Salley. We had a great day: lots of shopping and foood. Again, I spent some money, as expected. I told myself that I am not going to buy anything before I arrived in London but… sigh, after doing some calculations, I think I should buy them when Salley is around so that I will be able to claim back the GST and save me some $$$. I didn buy bag or accessories or any fashion goods, I bought skin care products ok! Something that I will have to apply on my stupid face everyday. And they are so costly! Meaning the GST will be quite alot of money!

I was planning to upload some competition photos here but just realised that I have transfered all the photos to my hard disc and it is at home. And I am also very lazy to transfer them from my camera. So, next time then.

Tmr will be our last day in London. I really hope we don’t stay any longer because I do not wish to spend more money!!! Oh and, recently, as in these few days, my appetite has gone wild! I can eat so much in a day goodlord. I should stop eating for a while…

Its half past midnight already, should sleep now. The breakfast in the B&B is always so early!!! 7 - 9am! Oh ya, I just mentioned that I should stop eating. OK good night everyone, i am off to bed now. zzz.

♥ See you very very soon!!!

❀ 24/02

February 24th, 2010

It has been a good day for me today. Salley and I went to town for some window shopping, met up with Say Yen for tea, went for a movie (Valentine’s Day) then back home for some home cooked dinner, simple and nice.

I have been trying to avoid stepping in to shops recently because I hate seeing things I like and not buying them. Not because I cant afford but because I don’t need them and I still have a box of unwanted stuffs waiting for me to clear! But if you are talking about Chanel handbags or Louboutin heels then yah, I cant afford them. I made it very clear to myself- no more new stuffs unless I really need them!

I have a box stuffs sitting in front of my bedroom door waiting for me to clear. I want to auction them on ebay but I hate going through the process of listing, especially the description part. I need to sell off my PSP before it is outdated, and a classic iPod, and Creative speaker etc etc. I can’t even remember what else I have, probably some gadgets… oh oh oh, and my Apple laptop!!! See, I really should stop buying…

But but but, sigh, I was so tempted to get an iPhone. I went through the upgrade deals on the websites just now because my mobile phone contract is going to due soon. If I get a new phone, that means that I will have a spare Blackberry and one extra things to get rid off, and also paying a lot more each month. I used to dislike iPhone because everyone was crazy about it. But recently, my friends have been telling me how amazing iPhone is and it makes me feel that my Blackberry is so not interesting! I did not intend to get the Blackberry the last time I upgraded my phone but it was simply the best deal at that time so I just took it. Ah well. To be honest, I did not fully utilize the BB because I have been using it like a normal phone: call, text and nothing. I did not set up the BB chat nor email or mobile Facebook or whatever I should be doing with it. Just couldn’t be bothered.

Anyway, I shouldn’t be thinking about it until end of March. I hope Vodafone will come up with a cheaper deal for iPhone by then, so I don’t have to think much =P Guess its about time to zzz again. I need some beauty sleep…

Good day to eveyone who lives in the GMT+8 above time zone; and good night to those who are not.

♥ Another day closer to meeting you

❀ Salley is Here!

February 23rd, 2010

Its always nice to have company once in a while, especially someone close. Salley will be here in Southampton for about 2 weeks and a few days in Germany with her cousin, Stella. I hope she has been enjoying her trip here, despite the dreadful weather and jetlag. We went to many nearby cities but I guess shopping is still her preferred choice.

Spot the pink lady at Heathrow Airport.

Road trip: Southampton/Portsmouth/Birmingham/Oxford etc.

Had our first lunch at Port Solent

After a few hours of shopping at Gunwharft Quay @@

Had Dim Sum at Birmingham before heading to Bicester Village for more shopping! Was nice to catch up with my lil brother =))

Bicester Village… there will never be ‘enough’ when it comes to shopping, we went there twice in one weekend!!!

We even attended the Oxford University Thai Night! Thanks to Andrew for inviting us over =)) And it was nice to meet up with him and his girlfriend Debbie.

After a few days of travelling and shopping, we decided to have a relaxing dinner at home. Salley refused to have rice/pasta/anything fattening because she is on diet so we decided to have Spicy Tom Yum steamboat instead.

I am giving myself another 5 more months to look for a job in the United Kingdom. I know it is hard at this time but not impossible. I am trying my best- sending in job applications and uploading CVs to many job sites. Its not a good feeling being unemployed, especially when your cousins at your age has already been working for few years and earning big money, parents tend to compare and pouring pressure on you! sigh…

Time to sleep and start dreaming about jobs. If only dreams will come true…

♥ Thank you for being so supportive and encouraging =)))

❀ Gong Xi Fa Cai!

February 15th, 2010

First of all, GONG XI FA CAI to all my friends!!! I wish you all a prosperous new year.

I cant believe that the weekend is over already! I spent most of my weekend at a dance competition and it took up so much of my time, almost 24 hrs, from leaving Southampton at 0050 to arriving back from the competition next morning at 0200, I was knackered! Spent most of my day resting at home and still feeling tired.

Lucky thing is, we won the Ex-student Latin event, happy happie! I think we wont be so lucky for the next competition at Blackpool, that is going to be a super tough one! And it is going to take up one whole weekend from Friday to Sunday, omgosh!

Its going to be another busy week for me– Salley is coming and we are going to travel around the South. So many things to plan and book and spending money! I am so broke ever since I arrived in the UK – especially the things I’ve bought for my new lease flat, cost me a fortune manz!

Sigh, I need to find a job *screaaam* !!! Feeling so damn useless… time to sleep again, good night!

♥  If only you're here...

❀ 10/2

February 10th, 2010

12:09pm, Wednesday. Cloudy.

I am sitting in front of a square wooden table with a bowl of cereal and a laptop. Finally, I have my own place and all my belongings at one place. Thanks to all my friends who provided ’shelter’ for all my crap when I was away and to Matt and Lydia who are so kind to provide me accommodation while I was looking for one, really appreciate it.

It was not easy to find the perfect flat. They are either good location but poorly furnished or bad location but cheap or good location but unfurnished etc etc. I am a lazy person so I need a good location and I am very particular when it comes to cleanliness. The one I am currently leasing is the best I have seen. Montly rental is below my budget, new flat, good location but unfurnished :/ So I have to buy new furniture — new bed, new wardrobe, new dining table, new sofa… etc. The best part is, I assembled everything on my own!!!

Started with my new bed from IKEA:

And the frame– it was a challenge because it was suppoed to be a 2-person job. Very heavy!

Then, the midbeam and slatted bed base

Finally, TAADDAAA:

The manual instructions are so cute, they have pictures rather than words. I guess that is the fastest and easiest way for people to understand the instructions. It shows that 2 persons are needed to assemble the bed but I just ignored it, I know I can do it! I am a superlady lol. Nothing else is more complicated than the bed. Sofa was easy but heavy, then dining table and chairs, coffee table, TV stand etc etc. Now I am a pro already, gosh.

I invited Derrick, Matt and Lyd over for hot pot dinner on Monday, after I moved everything in to this new flat. Then we played the guitar hero!!! So fun and I shall practice more, stretch my fingers more… they are too short for the orange button, damn!

Derrick being cheeky. He loves Matt I knew it.

***

Saturday it is– The Southern Universy Dance Compeition @ Peterborough. Cambridge is hosting it this year and it is rumoured that they have special judicators for Rock n Roll session, interesting! I am actually quite excited about this competition and have made an appointment for spray tan, mani & padicure this Friday. I am not expecting to win in this competition but I’m sure we’ll try our best to make it to the furthest! It will be fun, even just to cheer for our team. Go Southampton!!!

Ok, I still have many boxes to unpack, they are sitting at my dining room staring at me and I don’t like it. Taa.

♥ You r my Superman ♥
